I was born in Appleton, Wisconsin and raised in Ellicott City, Maryland. I attended the University of Richmond where I met my future wife and graduated with a BS in Biology. I completed medical school at Emory University and trained in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. I became an avid Red Sox fan during my time in Boston. I was fortunate to come to Duke for cardiology training and advanced training in heart failure and transplantation. I live in Durham with my wife, Katie, and our three children. I look forward to the opportunity to work with DUCCS as the Director.
