Mike White, MD

MDWhiteI grew up with the intention of becoming a physician. This journey lead me to Creighton University in Omaha where I completed my undergraduate and medical doctor degrees. During medical school, I was lucky to be mentored by two cardiologists that guided me to pursue my training in this field. I completed by Internal Medicine and general cardiology fellowship training at Creighton. Following this, I was welcomed into the Duke family and was able to complete my interventional cardiology training. Upon completion, I was asked to join the faculty at Creighton, where I have been an active clinician educator and researcher. I have a passion for education have been a key participant in the internal medicine residency, general cardiology and the interventional cardiology training programs. Participation in the training of our future colleagues is a very humbling and rewarding experience. Recently, I have transitioned to medical student education as the Associate Dean for Medical Education. I am currently married to my high school sweetheart and have 3 beautiful daughters. I am excited to be a member of the DUCCS organization and continue the great work that has been started by those who have blazed this trail.
